Steve Scalise, the 51-year-old House Majority Whip from Louisiana, was shot last month during a practice for the Congressional Baseball Game, and now he was readmitted to a hospital.
He was just starting to get better these couple of weeks, after several surgeries repairing his internal organs and broken bones. Anyhow, MedStar Washington Hospital Center officials released reports claiming that Steve had been readmitted to ICU after developing a serious infection, his condition went from ‘fair’ to ‘serious.’
President Trump spoke after the shooting, thanking the servicemen for being there, saying that the Congressmen wouldn’t be alive now if they weren’t there to help them. He also said that Scalise is a fighter and that he won’t give up that easy.
