US will continue to pressure North Korea by strengthening sanctions

Washington, 27 April 2017 (MIA) – The strategy of US President Donald Trump for North Korea aims to put pressure on Pyongyang to stop its programs to develop nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles, through the reinforcement of sanctions and Washington remains open to negotiations, according to the joint statement of the Secretary Rex Tillerson, Defense Minister James Mattis and the Director of National Intelligence, Dan Coates, quoted by the British media.

“The US aspire to stability and peaceful denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula. We remain open to negotiations to achieve this goal. However, we remain ready to defend ourselves and our allies, “adds the statement.
